Close to Naples and Rome, depending on where you are staying, there is a unique masperpeace of nature created in a joint harmonious creation with man, the Isola del Liri Waterfall (Cascate Isola del Liri).

The journey from Rome or Naples will take about the same time – an hour or an hour and a half. The waterfall is located right in the center of a small town, and therefore, it is the only and unique of its kind in all of Europe. Its formation is connected with the Liri River, which branches into two streams: the left gives rise to a large waterfall, and the right to the Valcatoio waterfall. This is a show that is definitely worth admiring. Along the embankment there are various restaurants and cafes where you can taste local delicacies, admiring the stunning nature and dying of its greatness. This is exactly the case of a unique combination and harmony, when a person ennobled her gifts without touching the original authenticity. The Isola del Liri waterfall is one of the most beautiful natural monuments and symbols of Italy's naturalistic beauty. Here, opposite the waterfall it’s possible to spend hours contemplating how the stream of water flows into the river.

After such an inspiring meditation, take a walk around Sora, a small town that is considered a cinema city. Its center is located a 15-minute drive from the waterfall. One of the great and brightest representatives of Italian cinema, Vittorio De Sica, lived here. Among his most famous works are "Marriage in Italian", "Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow", "Castles in the Air", "Ciocara". He has worked with many famous actors: Marcello Mastroianni, Sophia Loren, Jean-Paul Belmondo and Jennifer Jones. Take a walk through the quaint Conceglie neighborhood, where the maestro was born.

Sora is a city with a rich history, into which different eras flow. This is evidenced by the monuments that have come down to us, which can extend from the second century BC, as in the case of the cave sanctuary of the God Silvan and the bridge of Marmonet, to the twentieth century. There are several interesting churches, most of which are medieval. Especially notable are the cathedral, the Roman-Gothic Abbey of San Domenico, Santa Restituta and San Francesco, to which suburban shrines should be added. The total duration of the tour from Naples or Rome to Sora and Isola del liri is about 6 hours.
