Florence is an easy city to navigate, and you'll discover plenty of activities and things to do as you stroll about. Use this One Day Travel Itinerary to create your perfect day in Florence. In the morning, you'll feel energized as you browse the shops and take in the city's many buildings and landmarks, including the Florence Cathedral. Later on, try your hand at clay sculpting at the local School of Arts & Crafts.
The galleries will be more than happy to show you how they are created. Here, you'll feel like an artist yourself as you learn the ins and outs of creating your own masterpiece. At the end of the class, the clay sculpture will be yours to keep.

In the afternoon, following one day tour Florence itinerary, take a walk around the Uffizi Gallery, the Uffizi Scuola d'Arte, or take a ride on the Uffizi Trolley Bus to appreciate the stunning works of Italian Renaissance art. You can take in paintings from the likes of Botticelli, Michelangelo and Da Vinci.
During the afternoon, you can also enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic Castello Aracri, a museum. An easy way to get to the Castello Aracri is to take the bus from San Lorenzo Market and disembark at the station of Santa Maria Novella.

A perfect way to finish the day is to visit Santa Croce, a square full of shops and restaurants. It's also the final resting place of some of the most famous Italians, including Guglielmo Marconi, the man who gave us the radio, and Nicola Sacco, a revolutionary of the Italian Communist Party.
After you've indulged in the deliciousness of this square and spent a few hours walking about, you can take a quick trip to Piazzale Michelangelo to get a taste of Florence's night life.
